Paint Me Like I Am

The mood of this poem is excited because the poet is getting painted and she want to get painted in so much ways but with a happy setting. I know because she uses happy word's and she describes how she wants to get painted. I think the poet wrote the poem with this mood because she feels in this mood.

I can infer that Chankara is feeling very depress and lonely because she have notice that her boyfriend don't really love her and that shes going through the same situation her sister is going through. I can also infer that she needs a person to talk to and express her feelings, but the one that could have help is her sister and she is in the same situation. Bruise is the word she uses in the poem to describe her feelings because she uses that word to support her details to compare and make you understand what she mean in one word. The meaning of this poem is that Chankara don't want to go through the same problem her sister is going through because she wants to help her self.

What I think about Tyrone is that he talks about his neighborhood and how he thinks he is gonna drop out. I have learn that Tyrone is a person who lives in a bad neighborhood and he thinks the way he thinks because of his surrounding and his experience of life that his father have faced. I can infer that even though Tyrone lives in a dangerous neighborhood he loves it because he says that even though his neighborhood is dangerous he still chill's, party and have fun. The poet is feeling angry because he expresses his feelings about his neighborhood and his experience. The meaning of this poem is that Tyrone is having problem's with his live because he thinks he's gonna droop out of school and he talks about his neighborhood and some problems he have been experience from. I don't connect to this poem at all because my neighborhood is very different and i have different thinking for my future. For example Tyrone says thinks that hes gonna drop out of school because of his neighborhood but i think different and i won't agree because if he wants to be somebody in his future he could be a same body.

This poem creates an image of a man riding on a horse between the woods and in the dark and the silence. To make the poem more powerful. I can infer that the speaker feels tired and rush. I know because when u have allot of things to do you feel rush. Yes i can connect to my feelings because when am having the expo projects in my school, i need to do a project for every teacher and i need to finish them in a certain day and i feel rush.

I Have Hands Like My Dad

I can infer in the poem I have Hands Like My Dad that his dad is very playful because in the poem the sun describes how his dad gives him a high-five as he scores a basket. I could also infer that the father is proud of his sun because he claps his hands when his sun is on a game. The poet is feeling loved by his dad because he claps ion his games and he knows his dad feels proud of him.

Do Not Go gentle into that Good Night

The meaning is to don't go easy on the death, to don't give up on death. It creates a mood of angry . The poet use repetition to show the reader that he is angry and that he is forcing his father to not give up on death. The other poetic device use is simile. The meaning of this device is that the eyes are angry.
