I Have Hands Like My Dad

I can infer in the poem I have Hands Like My Dad that his dad is very playful because in the poem the sun describes how his dad gives him a high-five as he scores a basket. I could also infer that the father is proud of his sun because he claps his hands when his sun is on a game. The poet is feeling loved by his dad because he claps ion his games and he knows his dad feels proud of him.

Hi Delvin,
Those were pretty perceptive inferences! You inferred based on the father's actions--which often speak louder than words.
